Sinéad is a short girl who constantly trips over the ends of her jeans. She gets terribly excited when people bother to include the fada in her name. She lives in a little house with two med students, a social worker and a law student. She drives a Ford Focus variously called ‘Heathcliff’ and ‘The Beast’ and loves it quite a lot despite an alarming inability to park it properly. Her favourite poem is The More Loving One and she has a thing for Simon Armitage. She doesn’t like tea. Or coffee. Sinéad’s talents include poker sharking (as learned from her Gran) and the ability to fit her entire fist in her mouth. She has double-jointed fingers and an annoyingly buttonish nose. Her many crazy student jobs have included a terrifying stint at Directory Enquiries and a period as an emergency service person for people trapped in lifts. She holds a BA in English & History from University College Dublin where she enjoyed debating with the Literary & Historical Society and writing at The University Observer. She has just completed an MA in Journalism in DIT and now works as an Editor with an Irish publisher (whose views this blog does not represent in any way, shape or form and all that lark). Her work has appeared in The University Observer, The DIT News, The Spanner, Gastronom.ie, Oxygen.ie and SLAP Magazine. Ideally, it will appear in more places at some point. She has never met a punctuation mark she didn’t like.
